Sunday September 25 2011:

Singelloop Utrecht

The oldest street run in the Netherlands...
On Sunday September the 25th 2011 the 61st edition of the ABN Amro Singelloop Utrecht will take place again. The run became huge in the twenties of the past century, it disappeared three times for many years... to come back in 2010 as the worlds fastest 10 kilometre run... and the worlds fastest 10k race-course.

We were there, watched it and experienced it. It was a beautiful, unforgettable, almost supernatural experience. Everything was taken into consideration, this was the moment. A beautiful and fast race-course, perfect weather and the worlds fastest runners at the start. And they did it! The former record of 27:01 was broken with no less then 17 seconds. For the first time in history a human ran faster then 27 minutes on a street course.
